About the directory
About The Real Histories DirectoryThe Real Histories Directory has been created as a resource tool for teachers, parents, pupils and the wider community to support them in their teaching and learning about cultural diversity in the UK.
This website will help you locate resources that already exist in your and other LEAs such as storytellers, dual language books or culturally diverse toys. You can search the database in six ways:
- By subject area (National Curriculum and non-curricular subjects)
- By region (of the UK)
- By name (if you are searching for a specific resource whose name you know)
- By resource type (e.g. toys, books, theatre)
- Keyword search
- Advanced search (which allows you to search using several of the above search criteria)
You can also submit an entry of a resource that you would like to share with others. All new entries will be updated to the directory on a monthly basis.
