Since being founded in 1913, Birmingham Repertory Theatre has been a leading national company. It has introduced a range of new and foreign plays to the British theatre repertoire, and has been a springboard for many internationally acclaimed actors, designers and directors.

Developing new and younger audiences is also at the heart of The REP´s work particularly through education initiatives. These include Transmissions young writers festival, The Young REP - youth theatre, Page To Stage - an insight for students into the process of creating new plays and the regular programming of work specifically for young people.
