Albanian Youth Action

Aims to help young Albanian-speaking refugees adapt to life in the UK and achieve their potential, while retaining links with their own culture.

Provides education support to Albanian people. It is available even to those who are not in school.

Key services include:
- registering with schools and colleges;
- a library of books, cassettes and videos in Albanian for use at the centre;
- Albanian musical instruments and costumes available;
- regular sports sessions such as football and basketball;
- weekend activities and holidays;
- film showings in Albanian and English;
- art and drama workshops.

A section of their website, 'children page' , contains stories and poems written by children, a video animation of an Albanian folk legend, and quizzes. Children can also submit their own work to the website.

Languages: Albanian, French, Serbo-Croat and Italian.
