Ankur Productions

Ankur’s aim is to create pioneering artistic work that speaks to our contemporary shared experiences, where different languages, expressions, cultures and voices collide and cross-fertilise.

As part of their education outreach work, they run:

- Drama Workshops (Quantum Leap) aimed at children aged 9-12, 13-17 and 18+;
- Writing Workshops (The Act of Translation) aimed at supporting the professional development of emerging and experienced writers based in Scotland, writing in non European languages;
- Poetry and Creative Writing workshops for children (Free Verse) aimed at introducing minority literatures to children in schools and offering creative writing workshops during and after school hours;
- Writing and Performance-based workshops for women (Echoes) aimed at supporting the professional development of women writers and performers from Scotland’s minority ethnic communities;
- Introduction to the Scottish Film Industry - Three one-day workshops on entering the film industry in Scotland, with support from Scottish Screen and Pan African Arts.
