The Ethiopian Community in Britain (ECB) mainly undertakes the following activities:

- Provides information, advice, counselling, referral and advocacy services on immigration, benefits, housing, training and education, health, employment etc. for Ethiopians living in the UK.
- Provides training on ESOL and IT, job search skills and CV preparation for unemployed refugees & asylum seekers.
- Provides translation and interpretation services.
- Organises educational workshop, symposiums and seminar relevant to the community members.
- Conducts research and surveys on social, economic and cultural needs of Ethiopians living in the UK.
- Provides reception assistance services to new asylum seekers irrespective of the country of origin.
